This soon to be big five reserve of 10 000 ha offers diverse plant and bird species in a well- managed and balanced ecosystem. The reserve is easy accessible via road with only 5 km of gravel road from the tar road to Die Eiland. The two commercial airports of Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit are located within one hour drive of the gate of the reserve with 4 daily scheduled flights. The Ndzalama Lodge consists of six luxurious stone and thatch chalets with air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms, a big romantic bath, outside shower and a private veranda. The main building offers a spectacular ambiance located between the “sacred rocks” consisting of massive boulders characteristic to the area. Three gourmet meals are prepared and served daily and guests often enjoy drinks next to magnificent rock pool or next to the camp fire at night while listening to lion roaring in the distance.
