Sofia Event Center (SEC)

Sofia Event Center (SEC) is the most advanced multifunctional event venue in Bulgaria and the region, and a flagship member of SEG Group. Located at 100 Cherni Vrah Boulevard, on the Executive Floor of Paradise Center, SEC benefits from one of Sofia’s most accessible and recognizable urban locations. Positioned within a major lifestyle, retail and business complex, the venue combines the convenience of a central city destination with the infrastructure required for large-scale corporate, association, cultural and private events. SEC was conceived and developed by professionals from the event and technical production industry with a clear ambition: to create a venue that goes far beyond traditional hall rental. Its concept is built around four core pillars – flexibility, technology, design and full-service event delivery. A Venue Built for Transformation At the heart of SEC stands Sigma Hall – a column-free multifunctional space accommodating up to 1,400 guests in theatre configuration and approximately 2,000 guests in standing reception format. Its regular geometry, generous ceiling height and projection-ready surfaces allow the space to be transformed into virtually any event environment. The hall can be divided into multiple acoustically isolated sections, enabling parallel conference sessions, breakout programmes, exhibitions, networking areas and progressive event journeys within a single venue footprint. Complementing the main hall are several distinctive event spaces, including the Club Lounge, Forum, SEC Talks, Spark Bar, Lobby and a natural garden Terrace featuring more than 20 mature trees and over 100 plant species. Together, these spaces support a wide variety of event formats, from executive meetings and VIP receptions to large-scale conferences, exhibitions and gala events. Technology and Design at the Core SEC is permanently equipped to the latest international standards in audio, lighting, projection and video technologies, including 100% LED stage lighting and high-performance laser projection systems. One of the venue’s most distinctive features is its ability to create immersive visual environments through large-scale 360-degree projections and dynamic content mapping, allowing the atmosphere and visual identity of the space to evolve throughout an event. As part of SEG – a group of specialised event companies operating across Bulgaria and Austria – clients benefit from a fully integrated delivery model. Technical production, audiovisual equipment, stage and set design, event furniture, decoration, creative concept development, motion graphics, 3D visualisation and on-site technical teams are all provided in-house. This unique combination of a purpose-built venue and comprehensive production expertise enables SEC to deliver events to the highest international standards while ensuring efficiency and seamless coordination. Internationally Recognised Excellence SEC’s quality and innovation have been recognised internationally. At the 14th edition of the Eventex Awards, among the most prestigious awards in the global event industry, Sofia Event Center received Gold in the Large Venue category and Bronze in the People’s Choice Venue category. Today, SEC regularly hosts international conferences, association congresses, corporate summits, political forums, award ceremonies, gala dinners, exhibitions and high-profile product launches, serving both Bulgarian and international organisers. More Than a Venue Beyond its physical infrastructure, SEC offers a complete event ecosystem. The combination of flexible spaces, advanced technology, in-house production expertise and dedicated project management allows organisers to work with a single trusted partner throughout the entire event lifecycle, ensuring operational efficiency and a consistently high-quality delegate experience. Ownership Perspective Nevena Todorova: “Beyond venue capacity, SEC’s value lies in its ability to combine technical readiness, flexible spatial configuration and strong production support within one event ecosystem. This positioning is particularly relevant for international organisers seeking reliability, streamlined coordination and a venue partner capable of delivering both an exceptional delegate experience and the highest production standards.” Kaloyan Todorov: “At Sofia Event Center, we believe that an event venue should not merely host the future – it should help shape it. By joining AIPC, we look forward to collaborating with industry leaders from around the world, contributing our unique blend of award-winning technology, design excellence and Eastern European hospitality to the global convention community.”
