Lorsch – the only town in the German state of Hessen to have a UNESCO World Heritage Site within its walls. Lorsch is the a UNESCO World Heritage Site within its walls. Lorsch is the gateway to “Germany’s spring garden”, the Bergstrasse mountain route, a Carolingian town, it is situated in Nibelungenland, right on the river Weschnitz.
