The Ampersand Hotel

The Ampersand Hotel's unique concept is inspired by the capital's world-famous museum district and the iconic ampersand symbol, which illustrates the hotel's role in connecting its guests to the best of South Kensington. From the interior design to the collections and curiosities, The Ampersand Hotel unites guests with the local surrounding area through the five themes of botany, music, geometry, ornithology and astronomy. The hotel, which opened in its modern incarnation in summer 2012, was originally built as a boutique hotel, called The Norfolk Hotel, with only 80 rooms, each of which had different fittings and furniture. The hotel was comfortable and luxurious and was set apart by its character and distinction. Our Kensington meeting and event rooms combine a sense of occasion with state-of-the art facilities and an intuitive understanding of your requirements, whether you are planning a corporate event in London or looking for a private London party venue. We have a choice of three spaces, available for hire separately or together, all of them decorated in eclectic Ampersand style and kitted out with the latest technology. The capacities are both intimate and flexible, while our dedicated events team will provide seamless support before and during your event to ensure a truly memorable occasion.
