On the Tokyo Bay, the City of Yokohama is a lovely resort and port city where you may see both traditional Japanese beauty and a modern perspective of the waterfront skyscrapers. As the first port in Japan to open its doors to the outside world in 1859, Yokohama has developed an intriguing fusion of Japanese and western cultures, and in 2009 it celebrated the 150th anniversary of the port's opening.
